DIR floortime

The DIR Floortime approach is a play-based therapy where the sensory, motor, cognitive and emotional needs of the child are integrated in order to support the development of language and social skills.

The approach is evidence-based, and is effective for children on the Autism Spectrum or with developmental delays. Parents are included in sessions and become empowered to support their child’s development across six key developmental capacities. For detailed information on DIR/Floortime, please visit the Interdisciplinary Council on Developmental and Learning Disorders (ICDL) official DIR/Floortime website; www.icdl.com/
