Alison Jackson
Speech Care Director |
Speech Care was established in 1992 by Alison Jackson who is the current director. Alison has 30 years experience as a speech pathologist. She commenced her working career at the Mater Children's hospital where she was the senior speech pathologist for seven years. Alison enjoys working with children who are delayed in speech and language development and with people of all ages who have a stuttering problem.
Skye Frazer-Ryan has had extensive experience working with children in both Australia and the United Kingdom. She is particularly interested in working with children in their school environment and equipping teachers with skills to help children in the classroom.
Dimi Stathopoulos in addition to being a Speech Pathologist is also a qualified Occupational Therapist and loves working with both children and adults. She enjoys working with adults with voice disorders and she also loves to work with children and help them reach their maximum potential in all areas of communication.
Amanda Lyons is an experienced clinician who enjoys working with children
Rebecca Rajendran
Laura Back trained in the United Kingdom and has worked in New Zealand. She is experienced in working with young children who are late talkers and with children diagnosed on the Autistic Spectrum of Disorders.
Speech Care operates from offices at Carina and speech pathologists also visit schools and colleges on the south side of Brisbane.
Speech Care provides assessment and therapy for children and adults with a range of communication difficulties including:
- Speech and language delay/ disorder
- Late talkers
- Oral motor speech disorders including childhood apraxia of speech
- Autistic spectrum disorder
- Literacy disorders
- Accent modification
- Speech, language and swallowing disorders acquired as a result of stroke or other neurological conditions
- Voice disorders
- Stuttering
